Beautiful series. Again.
Hi Olaf… I am a big fan of these saturated colours and contrasty shadows, nice work.. but does 16:9 format mean you are not fully using the whole sensor? why not take advantage of the whole frame and crop later? Or is it just easier to ‘crop’ in camera? Just interested, not meant to be criticism.. cheers Drew
Drew,
Yes, the 16:9 format means some cropping but given the X-Pro2 resolution I am perfectly fine with that. Some images presented here were cropped during post-processing, others were shot in the 16:9 format.
All the best,
Olaf
I’m a grandad. Little girl. All ok. No name yet.

Good series, I’ve been primarily shooting my X-Pro2 in 16:9 also. I’m having trouble switching back to 3:2, just enjoy the wide format so much.
Marcus,
There is something cinematic about this format. In addition, I noticed that changing formats from time to time refreshes my seeing.
All the best,
Olaf
